KidSafeBrowser is a Free Internet Browser
based on the Google's Chromium Browser .

What makes KSB so safe ?
'Safe' because users can only visit sites that are
Pre-Approved and stored in Approved-Links-Files .

This makes it ideal for Kids as well as Businesses .

The KidSafeBrowser .zip package can be Downloaded here:
KidSafeBrowser on sourceforge.net
It Downloads as a .zip file (KSB.zip) , which contains :
    1)
the 'KidSafeBrowser program (KidSafeBrowser.exe)' ,
    2)
the 'KidSafeBrowser-EDITOR program (KidSafeBrowser-EDITOR.exe)' .
This EDITOR program is used to maintain the Approved-Links-Files :
TrustFile_ SafeSites.txt
TrustFile_SafeLinks.txt.
    3)
Help Docs , images , etc. .
See Links to All the Docs at top-of-this-page .

DOWNLOAD_instructions:

Open your browser to:   kidsafebrowser at sourceforge.net
then Click on the Green   [Download Button] . This will Download the KSB.zip file to your 'System Download Folder' .
Open WindowsExplorer to the 'Downloads Folder' .
Find the KSB.zip file , and DoubleClick on it .
This will Open the .zip File , and there you will see the 'KSB' Folder .
Copy that Folder and Paste it into "C:/" . So now the 'KSB' folder
address is "C:/KSB" . .

Now you can Create a Shortcut to KidSafeBrowser.exe
and paste it onto your Desktop .
DoubleCLick this shortcut and away you go .
And that's it !

PASSWORD_instructions:
Running the KidSafeBrowser-EDITOR program :

In the KSB FOLDER , Double-Click on the KidSafeBrowser-EDITOR.exe .
This will open the program , and it will ask you for a 'Password' .
The password will ALWAYS be the name of the Folder where KidSafeBrowser-EDITOR.exe resides .
In our example , it's Folder name is "KSB"
For instance , if you planted the Folder here 'C:\KSB' ,
your password will be "KSB" , case sensitive , no Quotes .

About Approved Links files :

There are TWO 'Approved Links' files ,
"TrustFile_ SafeSites.txt"
"TrustFile_ SafeSites.txt" is for Approving "WHOLE Sites" , meaning "ANYTHING on this site is SAFE" .
For example 'vmars.us' .

TrustFile_SafeLinks.txt.
"TrustFile_SafeLinks.txt" is for "Individual Links" on a particular site .
For example :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa-0yJXFeKk&t=2s

Warning about using youtube.com :

Do not put a Link to 'youtube.com or
youtube.be' in "TrustFile_ SafeSites.txt" file :
ELSE EVERYTHING on youtube becomes available .
There is much on youtube that is not appropriate for those under age 18 .
So be very careful if using youtube .
Instead , use the "TrustFile_ExactMatch.txt" for youtube links.

Happy Trails...
